sorry weekend update...it hasn't been super exciting, but i can at least tell you what iv'e done and today's halloween!!! and i can tell you our plans for tonight!

well friday i ended up waking way later than i wanted to and just did a bunch of laundry and hung around here. later that night, blitch, wiggy, lauren and i went to eat at applebee's and then to coldstone where i got a yummy brownie, and then came home. i'm pretty sure we just watched a movie or something...actually i think we ended up watching fraility, it was kind of creepy in that , make you think sort of way...

saturday we all had to wake up early to get meet at the MET at 10am, and then we walked around, checking out all the impressionism and modern art, glad i got to go again, b/c when i went with andy we were there for like 4 hours and didn't get through a lot of stuff, and now i had 2 more hours and got to see a bunch of other stuff. then wiggy, jenni, le and i went to go eat at the diner that le and i had found on the upper east side, we sat at the bar and had great food!! so cheap and so good! then we went to krispy kreme to get jenni a donut, then FINALLY we went to see the puppies!! awww, we each claimed one as our own and got yelled at for touching the puppies, lol. i saw the CUTEST bulldog puppy, i wanted to just put it in my purse and bring it home. we came home and then us 4 went to go see what we could scrounge up for a halloween costume. the 3 girls were planning on being sydney bristow's alter egos for halloween, now that i have my costume, it's pretty inevitable that i'll look more like a barbie doll...i have a pink wig with gold, a boa, pink fishnet stockings, i found a gold lamme miniskirt at H&M for liek $5! and basically that's me, the tan barbie doll. lol. whatever.

after the costume hunting, we went to DT-UT and met jenni's friend, and got some smores, then came home. HAHAA How could i forget !?!?!? BAYLOR BEAT A&M last night in OVERTIME!! 35-34!! how AWESOME is that!?!? i'm so sad i wasn't at home, but we are def. excited up here in the city!! SIC 'EM bears...anyways, then i started to watch "aliens" but fell asleep. anyways, it's daylight savings time today adn it is SOO hot today! i wont' feel so dumb wearing minimal clothing but still, anyways there's a halloween parade in greenwich village at 7 and i'm sure most of the house is going. it should be fun! yay

yesterday, thursday, pretty decent day, i kept very busy at work and after watching the promos for SNL ..kate winslet and eminem, i decided that they weren't very good at all...they would rehearse them and i was like you're putting htis on TV? i didn't think they were very funny at all. but whatever...not sure if kate winslet is the comedic time. oh well

i came home and a bunch of us went to get tickets to see "SAW" las tnight and went to eat at chevy's...the service was better than normal, but he started to fall off at the end..i had the queso again, it's really the only thing i like, eh...then we went home b/c the movie wasn't until midnight and just chilled for awhile...

then left for the movie and got really decent seats..well yeah we were there almost like 30 mins before...the movie..Saw...ridiculous, the plot was good, the dialogue, etc..was just eh..but it was so psychologically disturbing that i actually CRIED and i'm not a crier!! it just bothered me so much! :)

eh..today i ended up waking up really late, like way later than i planned to , i planned on getting some shopping done and i ended up just wakign up in time to do my laundry..awesome...wahtever

so today was my day off, i love wednesdays, i love them because it's a great day to shop, etc. nobody is usually around, ie. tourists. anyways, today, matt and kenzie and i went to the peanut butter company, i had "the elvis", peanut butter, banana and honey ...it was good, except the bananas were mushy and warm, so it was more like baby food bananas, which i had to veto on my second half. then we walked around greenwich for awhile, actually where we walked when my fam was here, and i foudn that really great bakery that we ate at...we sort of just wandered around for awhile, then walked to SoHo, and just wandered around there, it was SOOO gorgeous today...sun was out, perfect temp...niiice....i am on a shoe hunt for real now..i want uggs, brown closed toe shoes and rainboots...all 3..and i feel like i'll be set for the rest of my time here.

anyways, we came home and just chilled until class time. we had this NBC exec come talk to us, john vilade...he was really inspirational for me, because i felt like he was me but like 12 years older. telecomm major, dabbled in several business classes, and interned in radio, then came to television..i was liek YOU'RE ME! anyways, i introduced myself afterwards and told him and he asked if i had any contacts up there at NBC and i said, yes a few, but i wanted to come back home and he was like just find what you love to do...anyways, he also said he would take me, matt and mark to lunch to celebrate our time at NBC, i was like YOU'RE AWESOME!! anyways

then i came back upstairs, and watched the sox WIN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY SOX!!!! GO BOSTON!!!

joe came upstairs to show the rest of us our supervisor's evaluation and cira gave me a 10 out of 10! yay! she said i was really helpful and had only good things to say, so i was really excited!!

hmmmmmmmmmm now i'm just talking to andy and it's almost 1230am...i guess i can go to sleep soon...might read and then bed..yay!

hello my dears
well i slept about 9 hours last night, so that was really great! i mean, i was still tired b/c i had slept more than normal, but it was still good. i had some fruit for breakfast, and headed on out to work. i was pretty busy all day long, not doing super serious stuff, i mean i did the cue sheet for best of jimmy fallon on SNL, but that was about it, just mainly researching music stuff. my boss apparently gave me some good reviews on my mid semester evaluation form, so that's cool!
you know i finally feel important, after that whole ashlee simpson thing on SNL, i'm like, hey that's one of our shows and i work with music...well at least it wasn't our FAULT!! lol.

so i have to get graduation announcements tomorrow, they cost an arm and a leg, thanks baylor.

so after work, i came home and then le adn i went to pamper ourselves and get pedicures, they were only $23 and they did a great job! too bad i prob. won't go back...won't need another one until i'm back home i guess. then we met the marks at mcdonalds and were really sad about our stamp game, now we're playing (or at leas ti am) for the free food...i've pretty much realized now that we're never goign to win anything..and see? that just proves it! you can eat mcdonalds EVERYDAY and still not win!

so we came back, and then went to class, apparently we had switched our tuesday class to weds and vice versa, but i write EVERYTHING down and i didn't have that on my calender ...not that joe was making it UP or anything..whatever..everyone read the wrong thing for class and we watched a bunch of movies that we'd seen from "history of film" plus he was tlaking about expressionism and surrealism, both topics i did for my papers, so i was like eh...thanks for having this lecture like a week ago...he got mad b/c people bring in their computers to "take notes" but play games, and soemone left their notebook in class that had "i'm so sleepy..etc" on it, and he found it and came upstairs and like dropped it on the kitchen table, he was pretty pissed tonight...john vilade a VP from NBC is coming in tomorrow to speak to us..i think joe's really worried we're gonna really screw it up or something...

anyways, after class, i barely watched the game..(the Sox were 4-0 at the time)..so, if the Cards came make it tomorrow, well they need to sweep the rest of the series..anwyays, i will proudly sport my hat soon! :) ..i helped proofread andy's paper and now i'm justtyping this, waiting for the tv to be free, and then it's watching "dawn of the dead"..wheeeeee, yay for scary movies!

anyways, i got off work a little early because i didnt' take a lunch and on the way home i got a chicken gyro...yum! and then came home and went with blitch and matty to buy boston red sox hats! yay! i got a red one...i'm really excited..anyways..that was my large purchase of the day..then came back and chilled for a little bit, met lauren's mom and went with blitch to get pizza for dinner...came home, talked to my mom and andy and i kept falling asleep, so i took like a really long nap, lthat was at about 830, i just woke up and took some medicine bc i still am feeling like i'm about to get sick and i stll have my headache...and now i'm hot instead of cold...sure signs of being sick...anyways just wanted to update...

so lazy sundays..talked to my mom and my cousin and my aunt today...then went to cranberry deli again with lauren to wait for her mom to get here, and i had yummy food! then i took some fruit home so i'd have some healthy food waiting for me! hehe, then i spent most of the day working on my resume, which is STILL 2 pages, even with shawna's help, and i dont' know what to do..i dont' really want to give it back to the NBC lady, but i'm like ehhh...whatever.

anyways, then i tried to work on my screenplay, but it was sort of a flop, i was going to go to gray's papaya with amanda, and the marks, but blitch lost his wallet, and after looking all over , even tracking back to mcdonalds, he coudlnt' find it, so the rest of us went and i got some hot dogs, yum! and then watched the game, while working on the screenplay...at least i have a page...it's not really the ideas that i'm havinga hard tiem wtih, but the format of the dang thing!

anyways, it's been a lazy day and i'm about to go to sleep..

so yesterday night, the marks, and le and i went to eat dinner at planet hollywood, super yum, but super expensive, i had calamari, but stll was sort of hungry...we went to go see "the grudge" which scared THE CRAP out of me...i screamed at times, but others i was like, leaning forward to see what was gonna happen next...anyways...then we came home, and le and i were going to go to DTUT for coffee, but decided not to, so i just ended up on the computer of course...and she got her ticket to dallas on dec. 3 too, and we got to pick our seats next to each other..yay! whatever...

today, i woke up to a phone call for my mom, and we chatted some, then i talked to andy, watched tv b/c the common room was empty...andy and i talked about christmas and got some really great ideas about what to do that would appease both of our families...and we talked to our moms, and they agreed! so i think we'll get to spend xmas together, i'm so excited!!

anyways, later, le and i went to cranberry deli for some quick lunch that ended up being like 2 hours, good talkin'..then came back, showered and got ready to go out, and took the 6 up to the upper east side and i wanted to go see puppies, but it was closed :( so we walked around to find a place to eat, and ended up finding this cafe that had about a bajillion things to choose from and the prices were good..ie, coffee was $1.00 and soda was $1.45!! (wow, cheapest we've found in a restaurant)...and i got a yummy waffle with eggs, so good! then we walked over to DTUT, and got some coffee and just hung out there fora while, then on the way home, we got sucked into barnes & noble and were there for another hour, i got 2 books "wild at heart" and "caramelo" which is by sandra cisneros, i really like "the house on mango street" so i have high expectations for this one...anyways, we're home now...and the marks rented "oceans 11" b/c i hadn't seen it, aww...but blitch is going to see "the grudge" again becasue he's crazy, so that may not happen until later tonight...or morning? whatever..

i'm really tired
and i miss my boyfriend, and everyone else too...the singletons are in waco for homecoming and they called me earlier today :( i'm sad..i'm missing homecoming with some of my favorite people! *sigh*

i'm sure nothing super exciting happenend wednesday night, and i think i was really tired that night anwaysy...oh! yes it did! (first did i mention that i got snail mail from one of the singleton roommates, laura borrego!! yes!! i DID! and it was very much welcomed! it was so fun! she asked me a lot of questions, so when i answer them, i'll let y'all know)

how could i have forgotten?? the RED SOX WON!!! yay! they are officially "my" team now, and i dont' even like baseball, and my 2 fav players are johnny damon and derek lowe...so that's cool..anyways, it makes the world series a little easier since the 'stros didn't make it..so i can focus all my energy watching the sox! (sorry texas)

yesterday at work was a really good day...i got there and actually ended up just having some small talk conversation with my 2 bosses, and they are both really funny and it was just really laid-back, so that lasted like an hour, then i went to do some work, and met the lady from sports music directing..who was SUPER nice! she does the EXACT same stuff as us (once again), but i appreciated her becasue she was really open and just started talking about stuff and giving me advice...she told me i should apply for the NBC sports music dept so i could go to italy FOR FREE for the '06 olympics..i'm definately putting that into my memo board..hehe..that would be SOOO sweet!

what else? i came home late b/c i was watching SNL promos and jude law is beautiful, i dont' have a crush on him, he is just an really good looking man. and so i got home around 5 and took a nap, then stumbled into the living room, later...cranky lauren and cranky me went with blitch to johns' pizzeria..it was aight...then i sort of watched the game, but not really, and i got my plane ticket to texas for dec. 3, and it was like $88, better than $99, i stll have to fly into dallas, but it was liek the difference b/w $300 or something, to go to austin...i don't understand flight prices...whatever..i talked to andy for a pretty long while on the phone, which was good :)..we're trying to figure out holiday arrangements which is exciting, but we have to discuss with the parents..

it's FRIDAY! i got to sleep in! and now i'm waiting for the bathrooms to be cleared, so i can shower and continue on my much needed shopping trip...

hey hey, sorry for not updating yesterday..i know, i know, i just slacked off..but i have another paper due today and i was really confused about what to do...i dont' know, i just worry that i can't connect the film to anything real and that i wont' be able to argue well enough..then i remembered i got a 93 on the last one and even if i get a B on this one, i will just expand on the last one and do better...*sigh*

anyway, yesterday was a busy, busy day...i actually stopped at mcdonalds for breakfast, hopign to get stamps and i didn't, so i just clogged my arteries for no reason..dang it! but i was crazy busy at work, well not crazy, just a bunch of stuff to do. then i got my resume back, and it was totally chewed up and spit out, which is good b/c i need to revise it...well pretty much rewrite the whole thing now, but it was like...oooh, blow to the ego..anyways...whatever. subway for lunch again..yum! i wish i could break out of my box and not order cold cut trio so much or wish i could get other stuff on it, but i don't like anything else but lettuce, pickles and cucumbers...at lesat i mix up the bread choices sometimes...hmm

anyways, i came home and just lazed around for awhile, tried to think of a topic for the paper due today and i was just getting nowhere...i took a nap, talked to andy some and then my mom called and i had to think about graduation invitations and i want to get a portrait to put in them, and then i had to think about THAT..and my revelation yesterday was.."hi, i'm about to be an adult"!!! oh nooo!...what else? we didn't have class until 8 and then it was just short and we had to have meetings, to talk about our internships and papers if we wanted..so the marks, gulley, le and i went to mcdonalds (yes, that's 2x in one day? SUPER SIZE ME!...sick)...le and i came back for our meeting but joe was running late, so we just sat on the couch and had soem good life talking...it was good, then went to joe, and then i proceeded to be incredibly honest about my paper and my internship and life in general...wow..i felt like laura bundy ;) haha, sorry bundy..and after that i came back and reserached and researched for movei ideas and finally i just snagged mark hawkin's movies and got 2 and finally decided on LA confidential..writing it today it sounds pretty sad..i'm about to revise it, so we'll see...i got an 87 on the last one (for the othe class) but it's ok b/c i have As on the other 2 assignments, and the one i turend in yesterday was pretty decent. so i could have a 4.0, wow...

anyways, right now i'm about to revise my paper, reprint it out, i wanted to go shopping, but i also have to read..and tonight, while watching the GAMES..GO SOX AND STROS!! ..i'll be writing my screenplay!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! so much stuff to do..and now i'm thinking of school, WORK, and graduation...so scary...

30 days until i get home...and..
59 days until graduation..yeah..resume in gear...eek!

today i was really busy at work...which is great, becasue sometimes it can be slow..but i had a lot to do and although i stretched it out over a logn period of time, it was still a lot..on the bummer end, i went to drop off my resuem and i felt like such a fool becasue i coudlnt' find the box to drop it off in, i'm sorry the woman's instructions were deceiving, she said make a u-turn, when really all she needed to say was go through the door, and it's on the wall to your immediate right...whatever...anyways, i got a lot done..enough said

i came back here, then lauren and i went to the library, and i got some books to finish this dang paper, and then talked online some. waited for blitch to come back from dropping off hannah at the airport and then, LE, him and i went to mcdonalds to eat...(we're playing the monopoly game, so it's very imperative that we collect ALL the stamps we can!)...it was so sad as mark was rummaging through the trash for cups that people didn't peel the stamps off of..GEEZ people, these are PRIZES we're talking about...needless to say it was an eventful trip...now i'm back, i got tempted to watch the red sox beat the yanks, but i decided to finsih this paper and my throat still hurts, and i'm tired, so i figure i need all the vitamin C and sleep i can get...besides, we might go get breakfast at mcD's for more stamps..HA HA! j/k..well, sort of..

anywho..i'm plugged in my headphones, jammin' to my winamp massive playlist, and starting to write down quotes..

well today was half productive and half lazy...my mom left today, so i stayed in her room last night, and then this morning, we lugged all of her bags over here to the lambs, i got some makeup on my face and then we went to eat breakfast, we ended up going to this diner on 9th ave b/w 43rd and 44th...sooo good, i would def. recommend it, i had french toast and bacon, it was soo good! i haven't had a big breakfast in awhile so i was happy! then we foudn this street festival and walked around, i finally got a cashmere scarf, it's pink and gray and i love it! and my mom bought some other little trinkets.

then we went down to chelsea to find this clothing store, we sort of got lost and i decided i didn't really want to be wandering around there by myself, then when we did find it, it was closed and didn't look that appealing, so we headed down to Century 21 which was a totally different story, i coudl spend hours in there, but there was about every other person who was visiting or lived in new york in there, so we just looked around some and then came back to teh street festival. my mom also wanted to try a gyro, so we came back to the lambs and she packed up the rest of her goodies, and ate. then we walked over to the millenium broadway to wait for the super shuttle...it was a little late, but she got there in time. i'm glad she got to visit, i was sort of sad she didn't get to stay until tomorrow b/c i wanted some one on one time, but it was fun anyways...so still more than a month until i come home. ...34 days!

anyways, i came back here, went down to SoHo to look at my photo exhibit for my paper, which took me about 5 minutes, glda i didn't have to pay for the ride or anything...i was gonna walk around down ther,e but it was so freakin' crowded, so i just came on home. did my laundry, read, napped, made a quesadilla. now i'm just sort of sitting around, i dont' really feel so good..my throat's starting to hurt, and so i guess i need to pop some vitamin C and beta carotine to up my immune system..i'm also really tired..which is always a good sign...silly me...anyways, i want to write both of my papers tomorrow...or at least get the majority of them done. get to the library on sunday, but it might be closed, so monday for sure, then finish them up and work on my screenplay which i could do tonight since it doesn't seem as though i'll be doing anything out of the lambs tonight...everyone's got everyone else visiting and so it's pretty quiet up in here...awesome

gosh my body is so sore from that massage yesterday..but he got all the kinks in my shoulders out, so that's good...anywyas, today i got up, got dressed really quickly and met my mom and diane at the hotel for a quick breakfast, then we went over to the american museum of natural history, it was really neat...lots of animals and evolution and planet stuff...we also went to see an IMAX thing about bugs, that was neat...almost fell asleep though, haha, then we walked around, grabbed some lunch, then came home to change and stuff, then headed out to SoHo to eat at the French Culinary Institute...it was good..i mean, eh...but good still and not super expensive..

then we walked around there and SoHo, and my mom bought some stuff, and we came back to the lambs so they could check their email and my mom called my brother and he said he got her on the flight that goes out tomorrow instead of sunday :(...so she leaves tomorrow evening,...i don't want her to go yet, but i do have 2 papers to write...eh...

anyways, just blogging and talking to andy , then packing up some stuff to go and stay over at the hotel with them tonight...

of course another day of super fun times...i woke up and headed to work for a few hours...no broken copiers, just a few kicked-back faxes...then met the fam for lunch, they actually ended up getting into the "jane pauley show"..neat...so we walked over to this place near connally's called "cranberry" or something and it's just a big deli..but the food looked and tasted AMAZING! so i will be stoppin gby there after work i'm sure several times! yum! we went back to the hotel to get rose&thad's stuff and then they went off to the subway to get to the airport and catch their plane

then my mom and diane and i went to find out if we could get into "the lion king"..of course we couldn't really, but we got tickets to "beauty&the beast" instead, we went down to chinatown and ended up getting 90 min. massages...it was really good, at first i was like, dude, this hurts, but i realize now he was just getting my tenseness out and doing his job, i feel much more relaxed now...anyways, (it was cheap too), we walked down to SoHo to my favorite little italian restaurant an dhad a leisurely dinner, then came back to go the show.

"beauty and the beast" was great!! i felt like i was 8 years old again! and the set, costumes and everything else was amazing!! so yay for that! :-) anyways, now i'm home, i'm about to shower b/c i still have oil in my hair from the massage and i'm sure i look extremely attractive

so once again, it's been another loong and overly exciting day..i'm getting really worn out b/c this is a city of sidewalks and continual walking, and i dont' ever walk this much..*yawn*...oddly enough, we started "late" today...we went off to the "phantom of the opera" box office to see if we coudl get cheap tickets for this afternoon...we got $20 rear mezzanine seats and then ended up moving up forward later...anyways, before that, we went to greenwich village and walked around for awhile, then ended up going to this really great cajun restaurant off of lafayette..it was REALLY good...then back to times square for the show...it was really good, i'd seen it before, but after this, i don't even remember seeing it before...yay!

then we walked around for a bit, and then went BACK to greenwich after hemming and hawing and nobody knowing what to do...ok, so there's 5 of us, it gets complicated...anyways, just more walking, then stopping in this bar called "Asylum" to have a drink...rose got me a stolickhi (sp?) orange and sprite..yum! then went to this thai restaurant that was really cheap and REALLY good! then to get dessert, yum! again..and then back to times square...took some pictures, and watched some of the debate on the big screen...awesome

now i'm home, totally beat, and i need to work for a few hours tomorrow...and then have lunch with them, before rose & thad leave...:-/

once again a long day, but we're so beat from yesterday that it really shone through today! haha, woke up and the "fam" met me at the lambs and we were going to buy tickets to a show today, but we got caught up in the information center, and coudln't really decide what to do, so we went to the empire state building and waited in line for a pretty long time and then did our $12 look around...took some pictures and then left to meet thad's aunt at her place on 2nd ave. it was really nice, and we went up on the roof and that was a GREAT view, empire state building and chrysler buidling, then we all went to lunch..we stopped off at grand central to get directions then proceeded on our way...

we ate at this really great indian restaurant..yum! (and can imention that his aunt thought we were BOTH indian, my mom and i? yeah...) then she dropped us off at grand central and we went down to battery park to get on the staten island ferry so we could see the statue of liberty (it's free!..yay!) and we took it to staten island, got off and took it right back, and it was just amazing to pass that by..i mean, i know my ancestors didn't immigrate that way, but...it was still amazing to see. then we got off, and boyfriend called me! yay! :)

then took the train up to the upper east side and went to this really great coffeehouse called DT-UT, it's GREAT!! on the way, we passed by this pet store, it was SOOO great, they had puppies galore and NICE ones..bulldogs, pugs, yorkies, etc. etc...just great dogs..and they were soooo adorable, i think i'll be making some stops tehre sometimes...just in case i have a bad day...anyways, on to the coffeeshop, which was a great place to just chill out..so relaxing...on the way back, we saw a lady walking her RABBIT?! (only in NY)..we started laughing and she was like "he was getting fat"..like trying to justify that! it was GREAT! thne i had a bad run in in the subway, wasn't really paying attention so we almost kept heading uptown, anyways, we wasted soem time in b&n and my mom bought this great book called "Dirt cheap NYC" and it has great places for restaurants, happy hours, shopping, etc, ALL CHEAP! yesssssss!! now i have places to attend to!

we went to europa for dinner, and then we split to go rest! *yawn* another long day..i think tomorrow we're going to a matinee show, and maybe go to greenwich and stuff like that...anyways...long day, tired again :)

once again, super long day, but i'm getting to see more of the city, so i guess that's good..

my mom woke me up around 830 and i met them at the hotel and we set off for the day, we got them all set with their subway passes and then headed down to chinatown, where we explored and then ate some dim sum! yum (except i didn't eat enough...oh well), and then we went shopping for a long time, in and out of shops and i'm finally buying stuff!! yesss! my mom's friend bought me a burberry watch in pink! it was too cute and only $8! (haha, yay for knockoffs!) and pretty much everyone got a bag/purse today..even thad (i called it his man purse, but it is a camera bag..riiight ;) j/k)

finally we walked over to SoHo, and wlaked forever around there and i finally got my pink burberry purse! i saw it in chinatown for $25 and i was like eh...and in SoHo it was $20, or so she said and when i opened it, there was another purse in there or bag or somethin gand i said "this too?" and she said, "yes, $25" and i was like YOU JUST SAID 20!! and she was like, "ok"..haha, so my mom got that and a purse for her and they were both $20 and basically we each got 2 purses...so we got 4 purses for $40! awesome! also she bought me this great big pink purse too, i might let her have it though b/c i have these pink purses, but anyways...we went down to ground zero after that and that was of coures moving, as usual..then went to this little cafe to recharge and so i could get some sugar...low blood sugar=cranky rena

then walked around teh financial district and it turned out tehre was a columbus day street fair (love how new york always has SOMETIHNG going on)...and so we walked around there, i am going to get a scarf soon, it is SOOOO coold! brrrrrrr...i'll have to dress warmer, just not ready for the cold i guess. kind of just snuck up on me...after that, we walked down to battery park and were pretty much attacked by the louis vuitton people...geez...they won't stop! anyways, i finally got a good glimpse of the statue of liberty, which looks way smaller than it does in movies...isn't that how it always is? hehe, anyways...we decided we shoudl go eat, so we subbed it back to grand central and looked for this indian place by the lamb's, but it turned out to be way expensive, so we came back here and finally just decided to go to the pizza place next door...it's ok! b/c i love their food, then we went to get dessert, at this cafe by connally's and thad, diane and rose all wanted a beer, and conveneitly they had both dessert AND beer, so we just chilled out there, and then came back here to grab their stuff and then they left...i am sooo sooo tired!!! i have never walked this far in my life...in such a short time, but it's ok...i need it...so, now i'm just hanging out...probably get ready for bed soon.

yesterday i stayed in most all day and went with matty to b&n and finally got my book!! yay, and 2 magazines..for guilty pleasure reading...i bought the "unabridged journals of sylvia plath" and i'm really excited about reading them...especially since it's like 2x if not more thicker than the first journals that were published by her...
anyways...came home, watched the Baylor game...sic 'em..we lost, but oh well...what else is new..

then i don't know what i did for a looong time, but it was probably nothing, then i realized that rose & thad would be here at 530am, and it was 2am..so i decided to just stay up all night, so i watched "freddy vs jason" with the marks and gulley joined in later. eh...it was entertaining...but i started to get tired, so i went to sleep about 4, woke up at 6, and finallyfor good a 7am to meet up with rose & thad.

i showed them aroudn here, then we walked aroudn times square, adn got breakfast at europa cafe which i decided is one of my top 5 places to eat here! yum! then we walked down to the garment district and up to rockefeller where i saw the ice skating rink it's like way smaller than i imagined...then back to the lamb's, where we tried to get some shut eye, but watched "saved!" instead with some peeps, then checked into the hotel, and i came back here to get ready and rest...then my mom got here! yay! she brought plenty of cookies and tortillas!! yummm...

met rose & thad at the hotel, and rose adjusted our necks..yay for family chiropractors! then we walekd around to find dinner, and ate at some little cafe, then walked aroudn central park, where i see a few leaves changing..awesome! then down 5th avenue, where my mom couldn' tget over how many purse guys there were, lol...back to times square, back to europa cafe for some dessert...then to duane reade for some stuff, and then back to the lambs wehre all 3 of them attacked the computer room to check their email! haha...then they went home at like 830, we were incredibly tired..at least me, thad and rose...no sleep + new york walking=tiredness adn sore legs...ah well, i have another week of this

so i felt like i had a pretty rough day yesterday, so i had to tell blitch to stop with the sarcasm just for the night..we (me, LE, wiggy, emily, amanda, blitch and mark h.) went to Chevy's before going to see "friday night lights"...i had queso..yeah, just teh queso..i figured it couldn't be horrible, and for once, i finally liked something there...i didn't even really finish most of it, but it's fine, i guess i had eaten too much before we left. haha..

anyways, then we (minus LE and wiggy) went to the theater and met ashley and her friend, and got all settled in, we were there pretty early, but then so was like a bunch of really LOUD people, who basically talked through the entire thing, laughed at the most sentimental moments, and clapped through the entire last 15 minutes of it..GEEZ, sooo annoying! whatever, it was a good movie and made me want to go back to Texas to see a LT game or a BU game...well, i'm in luck! i get home on nov 19th and BU plays OU at home on teh 20th! yay!! i know we'll get slaughtered, but my last home game!!! i'm so excited!! our game is supposed to be televised tonight at 10/9C, so if you want to, you shoudl watch it...speaking of televised games, the OU/UT game was RIDICULOUS!! so sad..but the upside, 1. they didnt' lose by THAT much and 2. do you know that baylor was the last team to shut out texas since1980!!:?!?! yeah, that's right BU...like 25 years ago, haha oh well..

today has been so lazy, just watching football, eating random stuff...prob. may make it to barnes & noble tonight..and if not? well, then BU game later tonight, but i need to get out just for a few mins. lol.

hey sorry tehre was no update yesterday, i had a really bad migraine last night, which decided to last ALL night long, so my sleeping was affected, i kept dreaming about hotels, even though i finally got one booked for the fam last night..then i had some weird dream involving most of my roommates...it is so weird..i guess it's just b/c i live with 21 other people and i have no choice...lol. i WISH i was dreaming about my boyfriend and the lush lands of texas (lush?) whatever...

so yesterday..actually before i talk about that, i forgot to mention that we finally got the mouse (i thought we already had before, and this might have been his brother) but it was in kim's room, which is right next door, meaning perhaps little gus-gus was in our room at one point..a.nwyays, she came out screaming and caleb went in there and spent about 20 minutes trying to catch it, apparently this time it was successful...i'm sure he has friends and family somewehre, but whatever.

anyways, yesterday, i did some laundry and then went with matt wiggs and jenni to Target..it's in brooklyn, which is about 20 mins away, but it was SOOO Worth it, i was in target denial...so we find it very successfully and it is a 2 story target, and when you take the escalator, there's a separate one for you cart to ride on right next to you! it was soo funny! anyways, food prices were waaay cheaper, and i find a cute sweater and some sunglasses finally! they also had a wide array of scarves and hats and gloves, but i couldn't decide, actually i saw one but it was like the ones they sell ont he street, so i just was gonna buy it here...anyways, i ended up spending $80!! and we were there fora lmost 2 hours...wow, but i got my target fix, i hope i can last the next month! (prob. not)

came home, made some dinner, that's right i MADE it, didn't go out for once! some beef stroganoff stuff, then LE and i went to go check out Express' fall sale...it was alright, i foudn a shirt, that was wrongly put in a $9.99 box and it was actually $19.50 or 2 for $29.50, eh..so i just bought a scarf and a shirt for andy...it's cool. then we walked around, we went to payless but for some reason on weds they close at 730...we got there at like 728. blah...we are seriously looking for moccasins,..and i found some cute brown shoes, but i felt rushed, so we just left. Gap, didn't find anything and american eagle, their jeans are seriously the right length, but fit funny everywhere else..i just need NEW JEANS...i'll have to go to Express when i have a few hours just to try on 50 pairs...i started getting a serious headache and LE was hungry, so we went to connallys and i helped her eat the spinach dip (sooo good!) and she ate her dinner, then we went to check out hotels, and came home...i spent about anohter hour and a half before finallyg etting a decent rate at the Super 8 on w. 46th...stll with my head pounding, so i went to bed at like 1230, (yay!)...

but this morning, i got up to take a shower adn took some allergy stuff, hoping it would go away by the time i started getting ready, but no luck..so i called amie and told her i was not feelign well and i would come in tomorrow instead, she was totally cool....yay...anywyas, it's 2pm now, and i want to get ready to go do something..i REALLY need to go to b&n, but whatever. i need to at least get out once today...hmm...i'll prob. dry my hair..yes, what a lively life i lead. i planned on going to my fashion thing tomorrow, but maybe i can go on saturday instead.

*i barely had any work to do at work today...upside? i got to watch a lot of tv, clean up my work computer so i dont' get random pop ups and my internet explorer doesn't crash, and i get to meet with the lady who does music stuff for the sports dept, she got a Masters in Music Business or something, so that could be cool to discuss, never know where that might lead me in my path of job hunting

*colin farrell is going to be on CONAN in november...YESSSSSS....downside? filming? 11/22, where will i be? in texas (yay!), so i won't get a chance to stalk him (dont' worry andy, i wouldn't REALLY)..but i will be tuning in on 11/26 when the episode will air.

*i saw hilary duff today..well sort of, le (aka lauren...pronounced L.E.) whatever..we were walkign to jamba juice and saw TRL being filmed and there she was, aww...little hilary...lol. anyways, downside: i didnt' really SEE her, just from far away...whatever

*i had some fresh-squeezed orange juice today, which i have been craving for awhile..downside? it was $4.

*i had pizza for dinner...downside? i had mcdonalds too...we're just makign ourselves fat, it's great...super-size me

*class...which is a downer in itself...more downsides of that? he didnt' return our papers, and said it usually takes a prof 2 weeks to return papers...um yeah if they have liek 6 classes adn the papers are liek 10 pages long...whatever, there's just 20 of us, and we were all upset b/c we have NO idea how he grades...whatever

*i bought SAVED! today..yessssss, i am really excited about to watch it in a sec and go to sleep....upside? it's a great movie.

*tomorrow? TARGET! yesss, matt found one in brooklyn..also, barnes& noble, payless (way cute shoes!), and Express...i'm going crazy, do you want to come along..

i really planned on being asleep by 1am! and it's 130 now! *sigh*...oh well, i'll just take a nap b/w work and class...oh and then i have to read..but it's a small, small price to pay b/c we wont' have class for a whole 2 weeks!!!!!!! thank the good Lord! anyways...nothing super exciting at work today, i was excited b/c i fixed my new shoes that gave me blisters, so they wouldn't, and they didn't......well...

today i had a star sighting, and maybe 2, but i'm not sure. i was on my way to the bank, and i took 5th ave, and i saw this mass of people and i'm thinking, "Dang it you tourists!" and they're all crowded around Sephora and i'm like what's teh deal, and i saw this sign taht said "jessica simpson, blah blah blah"...and so i was walking past, but the star-gazing tourist in my heart got the best of me, so i stuck around (and i didn't feel dumb b/c i could tell soem locals were there too...) and finally i got on my tip-toes and got a glimpse of the dumb blonde singer...she's tiny! but whatever, i saw jessica simpson...awesome. then i think on the way out of rockefeller, i saw soemone from SNL, the guy who does the john kerry impersonation, but i'm not sure...anyways....after THAT exciting 10 minutes, i moved on

bank, grand central, took the 6 (i felt like jenny from the block headin' up to the bronx), and then walked over to the Jewish Museum to go view my exhibit. it was actually really interestng and I learned a lot, this woman's art was amazing...and then i decided since it was such a gorgeous day i would walk through central park to the subway, instead of going the same way i came which was sort of creepy. well, then i felt like i was lost in central park and my shoes were like "just kidding, we really ARE going to give you blisters" and FINALLY i saw the street, and just decided to take a random path and there i was, at the 86th st. station *sigh of relief*...and then came home, went to Staples and the library with lauren, came back, dropped off our books, picked up blitch, were going to eat at Popeye's, but it was closed down or something...and so the 3 of us, cranky, hungry and all, walked around to mcdonald's..yeah super size me...oh i'm sooo very tired of walking...it's amazing how much it will take out of you....came home, wrote my paper..

now i'm done..and it's even onto the 4th page..AWESOME and i have like 5 or 6 sources..that's including a painting i used and the actual exhibit...i'm so proud, and i actually felt insightful...but we'll see in a week what he thinks about is....i think i'm going to journal some, and get to sleep...i need to clean my room, but that's goign to wait until wednesday, as well as barnes & noble and payless...and the Gap..i think i've mentioned that before...

i woke up a little earlier than normal today...no, i'm kidding, ...i actually went to sleep at like 530 this morning...after playing UNO with the marks, and then andy was still up, so i kept him company online until we were both about to drool over our keyboards. lauren popped her head in my room around 1130 i guess, but i just rolled over...i mean..i'd only been asleep for liek 5 or 6 hours...lol

anyways, woke up, got dressed, and we went to the Gap, they are having a great sale...one that has been pretty much picked over, but there are still at least 2 other Gaps in about a 1.5 mile radius that i will check out. i went to return one of my button down shirts because i realized i wouldn't be wearing it anytime soon, if it all, and it was so low in price, like $16.99, eh...anyways, i bought a really great ribbed turtleneck in a cream color and a really great scarf..yes, i live in a place where i can actually USE one of those, i'm also planning on buying 2 of the cashmere ones they sell on the sidewalks...probably pink and red or something along those lines, the one i got today was camel-colored. i tried on some jeans that actually fit me, length and all, but the wash was really antique-y and just looked too bleached out..bleh...we went to europa cafe for lunch, then i came back here, and tried to concentrate on my paper, so much for that.

i took a shower, talked to andy :), played some games, and then around 830 or so, lauren and i went to Ollie's..yum, where the lady gave us only one check (after we had asked for separate ones) and it only had lauren's meal on it, and when i asked for mine, she just gave us 2 more fortune cookies, so i tried to explain better, and she understood, and gave me my check and ANOTHER fortune cookie...it was funny, guess you had to be there. then i realized that it's getting kind of chilly outside now..brrrr...anyways, i went to Blockbuster with blitch and then to mcdonald's because he wanted a mcflurry, and now it's 1235 and i shoudl go to bed, but they're watching "Sleepy hollow" and maybe might play UNO...anyway, i'd like to be in bed before 2, so we'll see how that goes...

tomorrow? work, Holocaust exhibit, and paper writing (lauren's getting my books for me from the library...she is soooooooooooooooooooooo nice!!! thanks LE!...and thanks for my super cool like pink "livestrong, but not really" bracelet!! yesss) ...then hopefully i'll finish and clean my room or my part at least, it is like our closets threw up everywehre...ahhhh...oh also, if i have time, Barnes & Noble, but I'm pretty much convinced i wont' get around to that until Wednesday and that's ok...also, hotel hunting again for my mom and the cousins!!

sorry this is so late in the weekend..nothing really exciting has been going on, that's mainly why i haven't updated...it's like i wake up at noon, then next thign it's 5pm and i haven't done a thing but shower...neat...well yesterday i did some school stuff, and started looking for jobs, yeah that's pretty scary...wheeeeeeee...i'm looking all over texas, mainly waco, dallas, and austin, in that order i think ...but we'll see...then i went to dinner wtih the marks and lauren at this cozy little italian restaurant...well it was cheap, but later on today i woudln't appreciate that...i don't know what we did after dinner...hmm, oh lauren wanted dessert, so we got that...wow, what a really exciting day..

today, same thing, woke up at noon, and actually i started feeling really sick, so i just showered and slept some more...next thing it was 5pm again and i was just watching nickelodeon, (oh yeah!) with some peeps, and then lauren, mark, amanda and i went to eat at chevy's...i had the chicken quesadillas...they were alright, eh...our waiter was a tool...then we came back here and i wanted to go to barnes & noble again, b/c ihaven't gone yet to return my book, but they close at 8..ridiculous...so lauren wanted to go to a real coffeeshop, so we looked around, then allison told us about one down in Greenwich Village, so we trekked down there..and of course, had an adventure...we ended up taking the Express subway and ended up somewhere random, so we had to take it back uptown, and then had no idea where we were going, and kind of got lost, and were like in XXX stores galore...awesome..it was actually really creepy, so we pretended we knew where we were going, then were like...eh, ew couldn't find it, so we went to some other one, which was nice and quiet enough...and that was fun..

the highlight of the evening for me, was when lauren wanted to go buy this scarf and the vendor guy asked where i was from, i was like, "well i live here right now" and he's like "no, what's your nationality?" and i said, "where do you think i'm from?" and he said "i think you're indian" (he was indian) and i was like "NO! everyone thinks that! i told him i was half mexican and he said no, come inside, and his co-worker was like no you're not (he was mexican) i'm like YES i AM!...so i managed to even trick an indian person..wow...anyways, for those of y'all who don't know the story about my ethnicity, most peopel think i'm indian, or middle-eastern, except for the select few who think i'm hispanic...

anywhoooo..apparenlty we have a paper due on tuesday, wish he'd made a louder announcment about THAT one!

one week until my momma and the cousins come !! yessssssss..yay visitors!
